What are 3D cards?

3D embossed cards are a product line belonging to the long-standing art model "Kirigami" ("kiri" means cutting, and "gami" means paper) (also "Origami") of Japan.

Normally a card consists of 3 parts: outer cover (usually red), inner lining paper (usually cream or white) and 3D embossed block (pop up). (Usually the default is to have an envelope and a nylon envelope)

The 3d embossed block (3d card) will be skillfully assembled and delicately sewn with thread (or glued) to the backing paper so that when the card is opened, the 3d embossed part will pop up and when folded, there will be no paper obstruction and a flat surface of 0 degrees. (see picture description)

There are two types of embossed cards: 90-degree cards and 180-degree cards with complex structures that require more investment. A characteristic of pop-up cards is the box-fold structure that includes a combination of many small details in an embossed shape.
